  • The short answer is no. You can only sell products which have been approved and use only our own proprietary recipes. You can however submit ideas or recipes to corporate for approval to sell these items in your bakery. If approval is given, then these products and recipes may also be used in all locations should we decide to use them system-wide.

  • One of the advantages of becoming a franchisee is so that the design and layout of the bakery is already done for you. We have designed the most efficient use of the space and the colors and designs that work well with our brand. You will have the option to choose which store package from those we have available that you would like to use in your location.

  • We won’t disappear after your Grand Opening. Once you are open, at least one member of our corporate staff will be on-hand to work in your store for the first week that you are open to support you during this critical time. After opening, we will also have weekly touch base calls with you for the first 90 days to be sure things are going well and to answer any questions. You will also receive periodic store visits from corporate staff to ensure compliance with our brand standards, as well as to provide feedback and support in the field.

  • At this time, Wanna Cupcake? is only open to franchisees who are able to work in the daily operations of the business. Outside investors are allowed to invest in the business, however at least one franchisee signed on the agreement must be involved in the daily operations of the business full time.

  • The entire process from initial application to final decision usually takes 30-45 days. There is typically another 45 days for FDD review, third party due diligence and financing approval before signing the final agreement.

  • We do not provide financing at this time. However, we do partner with a franchise consultant who can make recommendations for obtaining financing.

  • Yes, you can! We highly encourage franchisees who have demonstrated success with one location, and have the financial ability, to own more than one location within a given market or territory.

  • Franchising with a proven concept and an established business model greatly reduces your risk and increases your chances of success. Our training and on-going support encompasses not only the daily operations of the store (i.e.- baking, decorating and customer service), it also supports you by teaching you how to manage a business (i.e.- food & labor cost controls and P&L management). Our marketing and field support also helps you by providing established programs so that you can focus on running your business without the time and money necessary to build systems from scratch. A recognized brand can have identity within a market which ramps up the business more quickly than opening an independent business that does not have the brand recognition by the consumer.
